I am not saying that zuko is sokkas substitute for kya. or they look in any way similar! The whole concept here is that something was happening at the moment, be it how they were laying in bed, how the hair pooled over the pillow, or how sokka was able to hold onto it. It just brought sokka back. It triggered a memory, and suddenly he relived a brief memory. Making him suddenly miss his mother again. hope you enjoy!

I'm having more half-formed zukka thoughts, so:

Hakoda mentions to Sokka that he has been thinking about making an arrangement with Zuko to marry a woman from the Southern Water Tribe, for political reasons. Something about unity between nations.

Sokka isn't completely sure, but he thinks that Zuko has implied in his letters that he isn't particularly interested in women. Sokka volunteers himself to marry Zuko. For purely diplomatic reasons, of course.

It's not that Sokka is in love with Zuko, or anything like that. It's just that he can't stand the thought of his friend being stuck in a loveless sham of a marriage. And, if he really lets himself think about it, he can't stand the thought of someone else being the one to marry Zuko.

sometimes i don't post things because i think im gonna do something with it someday but then i never do. anyway like 2 or 3 weeks ago i had a zukka dream wherein zuko told sokka he was in love with him and sokka was like "oh whoa. can i like. think about it for a bit." and zuko was like "?? yeah. idc if you think about it." and cut to like a few days later sokka had decided he was willing to try things out and went to zuko like "ok so do you wanna go out?" and zuko was like "?!!?! NO??? LMAO???" and it absolutely killed me like when i woke up i was like T_T why did he say that and why did he say it LIKE THAT. absolutely devastatingly mean and funny. imagine. dude confesses to you so you ask them out and they fucking laugh in your face and reject you. im not over it

Zukka Nation, it's ACTUALLY time!

After collecting feedback via our poll and multiple conversations, we've decided to push back the dates of Zukka Week 2024. Many of you voted for a week in May/June, but the overwhelming response from creators was that more time is needed to properly create for this event, especially concurrent to other fandom projects. We will move forward with what we hope is a better timeframe for everyone interested in participating.

This should allow four and a half months for creation. Prompts will be decided through a combination of votes, community submissions, and mod choice, all the details of which will be releasing very soon <3

We will be deleting our initial post announcing the May dates, and encourage everyone who reblogged it to delete it as well and instead reblog this update. Thank you for all you do to make this year's Zukka Week successful!
